I don’t believe in destiny, but the story of Sakshi & Vijay makes me feel that there is something that makes people find each other. When Sakshi called me up to discuss my availability for her wedding day, we began chatting. It turned out that she was the classmate of someone whose wedding I had photographed the previous year.
The story of Sakshi & Vijay has been very interesting! When they began dating, they realized that they went to the same school, had pictures of each other taken during common school functions & also shared a common professor – Vijay’s father.
Sakshi had mentioned that she would be getting ready on the terrace of her home & we discussed the set-up etc., When I finally landed up on the wedding day, it was just so beautiful to see how she had taken interest to do up the terrace of her home!
Vijay is a Malayalee, while Sakshi is a Punjabi. Their wedding took place at the Guruvayoorappan Temple in Mayur Vihar around 9AM. I love day weddings; the colors look so beautiful & there are no ghastly LED lights to battle with! It was my first experience shooting a Malayalee wedding so I had to be very alert in understanding the flow of the rituals. The ceremony was quick & it allowed for some fun pictures with the friends.
I am longing to visit the Guruvayoorappan Temple; I really really miss the lovely food. Here’s to the gorgeous & ever-smiling bride & her love from schooldays.
